The short version

This site is a single static page with no forms, no accounts and no cookies. Everything it does happens in your browser. Nothing you do here is sent to me, beyond the anonymous visit count described under Analytics.

What your browser keeps

When you pick a colour, the page remembers it in your browser's local storage so it is still there next time. That is the only thing stored: two colour codes. It never leaves your device, and clearing this site's data in your browser removes it.

Your screens

Darkening the other screens needs to know where they are, so the browser asks your permission first. If you allow it, the page learns the size and position of each screen and uses them only to place the dark windows. They are not stored or sent anywhere. You can withdraw the permission in your browser's site settings at any time.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. To deliver and protect it, Cloudflare processes technical request data, including your IP address, user agent and the URL requested. This is inherent to how any website reaches you, and I have no access to individual visitor records. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Analytics

I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see roughly how many people visit. It is cookieless: it sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, does not fingerprint you and does not follow you across sites. I see aggregate counts, never individual visitors.

If you email me

If you write to me, I will hold that message in my mailbox and use it only to reply. I will not add you to any list, and I have nothing to sell you.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what data I hold about you, and ask for it corrected or deleted. For this site that is nothing at all, unless we have corresponded. Write to meet@snowmaker.io.
